A museum photographer's (generally) non-museum related photos and artwork, accompanied by irreverent humor and the rare and random opinion. Eerie, atmospheric, surreal....sometimes silly, sometimes trippy. Usually not very pretty.
The often predictable, usually irrelevant photoblog of a beloved museum photographer.

Another Monday Moldy Oldie. This is from 1994 (I think) during the Perseid meteor shower in the mountains around Santa Barbara (that's the glow behind me and the telescope). I don't remember the specifics (I do have them dutifully recorded in my comp book) but it was a long exposure...long enough for me to open the shutter and go sit at that telescope in the lower right corner and track the Triffad and Lagoon nebulae...which if you are nice, I might publish in a future post. On the left, you can also see one of the little meteor(ite?)s.
we need to shoot some at night.
